- About & What Do I Need
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a first stage teaching qualification which has a teaching/training practice requirement. It is an ‘in service’ qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers in England. All candidates, whether pre-service or in-service must have access to 30 hours of teaching. This qualification is also suitable for those delivering education and training in any learning environment.
The course will give you a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. You will be able to use initial and diagnostic assessments and plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning. You will also be able to assess learning and use appropriate resources to support effective learning.
What Do I Need?
You should be qualified/experienced in the subject you wish to teach at least Level 3, with good levels of language, literacy and numeracy. You should be IT literate. You will undertake an initial assessment of your skills in English and mathematics. You must have access to 30 hours of teaching. This qualification is also suitable for those delivering education and training in any learning environment.
How is the Course taught and Assessed?
This course is delivered online. You must have access to 30 hours of teaching, which will be evidenced. It may be required for an assessor to visit you in your teaching environment to assess 3 hours of teaching, alternatively you will record 3 separate one hour teaching sessions and send these to us for assessment.

£699.00. Can be paid with £200 deposit and 2 further payments of £200, each month. A 10% discount is available if you choose to pay in full upon enrolment. Certification will not be issued until course fees are paid in full.
